Beauty Begins Within

Have you ever been at a party and found yourself unable to stop admiring someone's skin? We've all experienced it...that incredible glow. That radiant skin on someone that appears almost 'ethereal'. What's their secret? I've discovered the answer.
I previously wrote an article about how my business adapted following Covid when I decided to relocate to the cottage. This choice felt entirely natural and has become the 'forever home' for Skin Evolution. Nestled in the heart of the untamed Santa Monica Mountains, it flourishes like a wild rose. Tim's gardening talents have turned the area surrounding the cottage into a piece of paradise, and our energies harmonize in this space. It is truly sacred.
Throughout my life, I've felt a connection to spirit and have had numerous mystical experiences since early childhood. I've always been a 'seeker', understanding on a soul level that there is so much more to this world than what is visible. This quest began at a young age... I was the child catching rides to church with other families and attending a range of sermons across the Bible Belt: Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Seventh Day Adventist etc. I vividly remember standing in the family kitchen and declaring to my astonished (secular) parents that I was going to be baptized and encouraging them to come to church the following Sunday. This faith and curiosity has never diminished and today I am a devotee of Self-Realization, which is a fellowship that was gifted to the west by Parmahansa Yogananda. Although raised Hindu, Yogananda emphacized the fact that that all spiritual disciplines and religions are interconnected. They are all a 'super highway' leading to the one divine.
Leaving behind a long-term career in union acting to become an Esthetician was a smart move, awakening a healing nature that has always resided deep within me. The nurturing aspect of my personality thrives on treating people's skin, and it is incredibly fulfilling to help them look and feel beautiful. It's wonderful how these two worlds have merged: Both the seeker and the nurturer have united to create a perfect harmony of skin conditioning through my curated treatments, combined with intention setting, light breathwork, and energy cleansing. It is a natural transcendence!
This is a bold new path for me. After all, I reside in Los Angeles, where there's a 'Shaman' on every corner! However, this has been a natural evolution and the narrative is complex. Many of you are aware that I lost my son, Hayden, in 2022. This event literally brought me to my knees, and I will never be the same. I've always valued the preciousness of life, but losing Hayden pushed me to explore deeper and heed my 'soul call'. I believe we all have a purpose on this chaotic planet, and mine goes beyond the surface. The universe has spoken, and I am listening! Radiance begins within. This is the answert to the question posed at the start of this article. It is the secret.
This holiday season, I encourage you to explore your inner self for your beauty ritual. Our inner realm unveils our divine essence and the brilliance of our soul. It could be as simple as wrapping a gift with heartfelt love for the recipient. That is a beautiful intention.
